During installation a Progress Bar will display how far the file transfer process has reached. The amount of time will vary depending upon many factors, including, but not limited to, the processor in your computer, the Operating System (Microsoft Windows version), the speed of the CD-ROM drive if installing from CD-ROM and whether an earlier installation of Mistral software already exists on your computer's Hard Drive. The process may take up to around ten minutes.

Please be patient! This is professional software involving tens of thousands of files and which collectively took well in excess of one hundred and twenty five 'man years' to develop, write, compile, test and prove. Virtually all of these files interactively communicate with one another during operation (dynamic linking) and the programs' internal registration process is unavoidably complicated. The system is not some cheap computer game!

If the Progress Bar appears to stall in exactly the same place for more than about ninety seconds then there may be a local problem. Most likely with either a faulty or damaged CD-ROM or a corrupted downloaded zip file or a bad unzip process. In this case it might be necessary to abandon the installation and try starting again. If the option to Quit is not presented on screen then your only option may be to simultaneously hit Ctrl + Alt + Del all at the same time and carefully terminate the installation process.

In this event please contact Mistral by clicking here:- Feedback and then as clearly as possible and 'unemotionally' describe as best as you can the events leading to the problem. Please do not automatically assume that if something has gone wrong then it is a failing or an error on the part of Mistral Associates. Mistral Associates are professionals who in over 25 years of software development have A) Never failed to get an installation working. B) Never yet come across a problem that was identified as or proven to be of Mistral's making! If you are unfortunate enough to experience a very rare problem then yours is unlikely to be the first one caused by Mistral. Do not worry or feel embarrassed if you are unfamiliar with computers or if you are unable to describe the problem in English. As a customer you will always receive prompt, courteous and friendly advice - providing you demonstrate a similar attitude!
