You can drive when you're eighty!
1983 and I had driven back up from Italy after spending the week with my employer's Italian distributors. They were a family run business and nice people but hopelessly inefficient. Most of their time spent wining, dining, clubbing, womanising and driving expensive and exotic motor cars. I explained all this to Dad one evening amongst a group of friends in our village Social Club.
"Incredible car Dad. You should have seen it. Six litre, supercharged engine, bullet proof glass, it even had a radio telephone. They let me drive it. It did a hundred and thirty miles an hour!"
"What about the women you mentioned?"
"Dad. I'm a married man!"
"Son. You can drive when you're eighty!"
