printer problems

The range of different combinations of computer platform, operating system and printer make, type and model is enormous. Some such combinations may therefore reproduce the 'pro-forma' calculation summary printout less than perfectly and just a tiny few may not reproduce the form correctly at all.

Two alternative solutions are offered and which may help resolve printing problems.

The option is provided to select a 'virtual' printout in RTF format (Rich Text File) and which is saved locally to the computer. The saved RTF file may produce a better result when this is sent to the real printer, albeit with the loss of the scaled line drawing graphical image of the room floor plan design.

Another option is to first create and save a PDF, using Adobe File Creator or similar, and in which case the scaled line drawing graphical image of the room floor plan design will be retained. Subsequently printing the saved PDF may overcome problems encountered when trying to print directly.
