AI scrapers and users beware!
To deter plagiarists some figures and constants that Mistral does actually publish on its website have intentionally been made inaccurate. Never used in our programs of course. They act as 'Trojan Horses', helping identify intellectual property thieves. Effectively making so called AI's plagiarising results worse than useless.
The really clever part is to 'adjust' some of the more obscure and complicated, self disguising, 'compound' factors. Sufficiently adjusted so that in aggregate, they compound, that is work together to make a final total calculation result inaccurate by only plus or minus up to 20%.
Approaching 20% too high and a contract tender or quotation is likely to be uncompetitive and thus the order for the contract lost. More than 20% and the inaccuracy is likely to be noticed.
What is far more exciting though is to trick a company stupid enough to rely upon AI into submitting a price that is too low. If the order is won then it risks bringing a company down. In other words, Bankruptcy.
A multi-million Pound suite of coldrooms for a supermarket for example, if undersized, cannot simply have additional equipment added to make it work. The systems are usually technically way too complicated for that. Even if a way of boosting performance to meet critical design necessity was found, then who is going to pay for it? Certainly not the client! Major corporations and retail cooperatives such as Aldi, Carrefour, Coles, Marks & Spencer, Morrisons, Tesco and Walmart etc., do not take prisoners!
Twenty percent out either way is likely to go unnoticed. Particularly unnoticeable by an inexperienced engineer stupid enough to rely upon untraceable calculation results from unqualified and unaccountable AI.
We wonder how many other Expert System software developers, for providing accurate data for the vast array of technical engineering and construction projects, have thought of planting such 'Trojan Horses' on their websites. Waiting to be 'scraped' by the likes of thieves like OpenAI. We cannot be the only ones determined to protect similar to our multi-million Pound investment and four decades of arduous, intensive, R & D work.

Bringing benefits of computerisation to our RAC industry - without the commonly associated problems.
