Alarming!
A pet hate, and no, I'm not talking about furry four legged companions. I love all animals, with the only exception being the latest fad for dogs selectively bred to kill babies, infants and pensioners.
Why does anyone think it a good idea adding an alarm to a refrigerator or freezer door?!
I already know the jolly door is open. I'm holding it open for goodness sake. Let go and with rising butt hinges it'll close automatically. Exceeding 20 seconds peering into the labyrinth of our freezer trying to discover where my dear wife hid the last Magnum ice lolly is not likely to result in a hundred Euros worth of fillet steaks, Smoked Salmon, Sole and frozen peas going to waste. I'm an engineer, I know how long it takes for stuff to start thawing.
Unnecessary waste of materials, electricity and money. Get over yourselves you puerile 25 year old going on 5 trainee engineers! Go play with your Pokeman or Scalextric! Leave mechanical product design engineering to grown ups.
