Microsoft Windows progress.
Windows 11. Improved almost to the point of unusable.
Windows 11. Akin to a kiddies Snakes and Ladders board game but where the snakes outnumber the ladders three to one!

Microsoft's new PC Operating System consigning hundreds of millions of perfectly serviceable computers to land fill or scrap reclamation centres, in Microsoft's much hyped bid to help protect the planet, by reducing Carbon Footprint. Duurh?! The Operating System that Microsoft promised would no longer require a couple of 'Critical Udates' every fortnight. Thus reducing the need for a couple of 'Critical Udates' to every two weeks.
Windows 11. Forcing professional software developers to spend a fortune upgrading previously working third party Apps.
Windows 11. Local Search engine operating at a speed just a tenth of that of third party developer systems designed to perform the same or similar functions and which, unlike Windows Search don't miss finding files which are clearly visible on screen while failing to find them. Ten times slower than Search tools that even Mistral was capable of creating 30 years ago.
Windows 11. Settings pages akin to a dog's dinner, jam packed with hundreds of 'options' few will ever need. However including options to turn off spying tools and annoying useless pop ups which should really have been set to 'Off' by default. Help page advice for Settings bearing little or often no relationship whatsoever to Settings pages layout.
Windows 11. Introducing most procedures selectable by three Mouse button clicks where previously only one was necessary.
Windows 11. Opening columns data where column width is always too narrow to display the content until a near invisible, ultra narrow, faint slide bar is Mouse cursor focused (with aid of a magnifying glass) to drag the column border. Or further options are clicked. No matter how short the displayed text string is, the column width will always open narrower than required.
Windows 11. Opening folders with 'Large Icons' view instead of far more intelligent and useful first choice of 'Details'. Why display icons anyway when opening folders containing no image files at all? Totally stupid!
Windows 11. Opening file folders with top information bar including all but useless, rarely if ever needed 'Date Created' rather than infinitely more useful and intelligent 'Date Modified'. Yet more extra button clicks needed slowing work down every day.Windows 11. Fixing thigs that weren't broken while failing to fix things that are.
Mistral's commitment:Bringing benefits of computerisation to our RAC industry - without the commonly associated problems.
